Using florev

How long does florev last in the soil?

Once you add florev to the soil, it stays active for up to 6 months before it biodegrades. After about 6 months, simply add a new stick if you want to continue the benefit.

Can I go on vacation after using florev?

Yes. One 5 g stick keeps a small to medium plant hydrated for up to 3 weeks with no additional watering. It’s designed for exactly this, so you can travel without worrying about your plants.

Does my watering schedule change after I use florev?

Yes. florev holds moisture in the root zone and releases it as the plant needs it, so you water less often overall.

For example, if you previously watered every 3–4 days, you can typically stretch that to about once a week after applying florev. The exact frequency depends on your plant, pot size, soil, and environment, but most people find they water significantly less.

How do I use it?
  • Already potted plants: Gently poke a few holes around the plant (a pencil or chopstick works), pour in one 5 g stick, cover with soil, and water thoroughly once.
  • When planting or repotting: Mix one stick into the soil in the root zone, plant as usual, then water well.

That’s it. One dose per small to medium plant.

How much do I use?

One 5 g stick per small to medium plant. For larger plants, use 1–2 sticks depending on pot size. Each pouch contains 25 individual sticks.

Is florev safe?

Yes. florev is powered by agricultural-grade potassium polyacrylate (K-SAP). It is non-toxic, biodegradable, and does not cause salt buildup in the soil. It is safe for houseplants, herbs, vegetables, cacti, and succulents. As with any plant product, keep it out of reach of children and pets.

Will it cause mold or overwatering?

No. florev absorbs excess water and holds it as a reserve, then releases it as the soil dries. This reduces sitting water, which helps lower the risk of mold and root rot compared to regular watering.

Does it work for all plants?

It works well for most potted plants: houseplants, herbs, vegetables, and even many cacti and succulents. Very large trees or plants in the ground may need more product or a different application.

What is K-SAP?

K-SAP (potassium polyacrylate) is an agricultural-grade superabsorbent polymer. It absorbs hundreds of times its weight in water and slowly releases it back to the roots as needed. It is biodegradable and widely used in agriculture for water retention.

How should I store the pouch?

Store the unopened sticks in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Once opened, keep the pouch sealed so the remaining sticks stay dry.

What if I have a very large plant?

For bigger pots, use 1–2 sticks and water thoroughly after application. If you’re unsure about dosing for a specific plant, email us at support@florevive.com, and we’ll help.
